Finding Sex and Relationship Help
"I know my husband and I need to see a sex therapist,
but I live in a small town and I don't know if there are
any sex therapists nearby. And if I ask around, I'm
afraid the whole town will find out. Can you help?"
It can be difficult to locate a sex therapist and I suggest
doing the following:
There is an organization called the Association of
sexuality educators, counselors, and therapists
(AASECT). They have rigorous standards for
certification. To find a certified sex therapist through
AASECT, go to their website: www.aasect.org. Then
follow the directions for finding a certified sex
therapist who practices near your town. You can also
call AASECT at 804.752.0026.
